PRODUCERS GUILD NOMINATIONS

The Producer Guild nominations are an excellent precursor to the Oscars. Last year 9 out of the ten Best Picture Guild nominations went on to get an Oscar nomination. Obviously with the different rules this year they can’t all get a nomination, but it is a good indication of how Academy voters might lean. Surprisingly THE TREE OF LIFE and DRIVE were left out. One of the most anticipated movies of the year, EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE was not nominated, but BRIDESMAIDS did. The reviews for both have not been that great. The PGA awards will take place January 21st. Here is the complete list of film nominees:
