The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences decided to try online voting for this year’s Oscars. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it is not working out so well.

Several members of the Academy said that they experienced problems, or were concerned that older, not tech-savvy, members would give up and not vote at all. Some are having difficulty logging in and then being locked out of the system. Many are worried that the system could be hacked. If you are able to hack the voting, please vote for BEATS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD! Thanks.

E-voting stations have been set up in New York and Los Angeles where officials would help walk voters through the process. They also have someone manning a phone 24 hours a day to answer any questions. I am assuming that this person is in the United States and speaks English.

Voting ends January 3rd and nominations will be announced January 10th.
