NATIONAL SOCIETY OF FILM CRITICS WINNERS

AMOUR

The National Society of Film Critics announced their winners yesterday. I like how they release how many votes each nominee received.  It is a great way to see how close your favorites were to winning. They named MELONCHOLIA, my favorite movie of the last 10 years, as best picture last year. And THE SOCIAL NETWORK  the year before. They seem to know how to pick movies without all of the Oscar politics.

I wish the Oscars would do the same. I am sure that the reason they don’t is if we knew how close other nominees were to winning, it would take away from the actual winner.

AMOUR is still maintaining it’s run toward an Oscar.
