Editing a film can make or break it. It is not just a matter of cutting shots together to compile a scene. Editing tells the story that the Director wants to tell. The entire look and feel of a film is changed by editing. Every year the American Cinema Editors award the greatest in their craft. In order to be a member you must qualify and have had a determined amount of achievements. You will often see A.C.E following and editors name in the credits if they have extinguished themselves as such. This years nominees are:
