Broadcast Critics Choice Awards Winners

The 19th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards took place on Thursday night in Santa Monica and aired on the CW. The show itself was kind of a mess. Host Aisha Tyler dredged her way through an awkward monologue. If any of her jokes were funny, they were difficult to hear over the poor audio quality and the chatter of Hollywood stars who clearly had no interest in what was happening on stage. The audio problems continued during  Sandra Bullocks acceptance speech for Best Actress in an Action Movie. A voiceover begins to play and bullock reacts with a bleeped “what the fuck?”

The Critics Awards only slightly predict what could happen at the Oscars. They do give you an idea of who and what is trending. David Poland, editor-in-chief of Movie City News explained it well on Twitter:
