HHhH is based on the WWII French novel by Laurent Binet.

The Weinstein Company picked up the U.S. distribution rights and the movie version is scheduled to be released later this year. It will be interesting to see if they stay with the HHhH title or change it  to something more marketable, which in turn could turn away the book fans.

HHhH is the real life story of Reinhard Heydrich, one of Hitler’s most lethal cabinet members who was assassinated by exiled operatives. The film follows the operatives from their escape from Czechoslovakia through their assassination of Heydrich.
HHhH stands for Himmlers Hirn heisst Heydrich (Himmler’s brain is called Heydrich). Variety strategically placed the letters to form a swastika.

The movie version is directed by Cedric Jimenez and stars Jason Clarke, Rosamund Pike, Jack O’Connell, Mia Wasikowska and Jack Reynor.
