The Telluride Film Festival opened Friday night in Telluride, Colorado.  Screened on the first night were some of this years most talked about Fall films. All with mostly positive reviews.

Manchester by the Sea-The current frontrunner for Best Picture. It will be tough for another movie to come along and knock it out of first place.

La La Land-Musicals tend to keep people away. If done poorly, they can be brutal to sit through. Word out of both Venice and Telluride is this one is done right.

Sully-Clint Eastwood has been hit or miss lately. His strong political views have turned people off. Great reviews for Tom Hanks performance. Mixed reviews for the movie.

Screening Saturday night: Bleed for This, Wakefield and Toni Erdmann
