Oscar nominated actress Debbie Reynolds passed away today, one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher died. Reynolds was talking to her about funeral arrangements for her daughter when she suddenly fell ill. Possibly from a stroke.
Debbie Reynolds is best known for her role with Gene Kelly in Singin’ in the Rain. She was only 19 at the time and had never danced professionally before. She was nominated for Best Actress in 1965 for The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
Reynolds wrote on Facebook yesterday, Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop.
