A few things happened things were announced this week as we get closer to awards season: 
-The Santa Barbara Film Festival has become an important stop before Oscar voting ends. This year’s festival will run January 31-February 10, 2018.

-Todd Hayne’s Wonderstruck was announced as the Centerpiece screening at this year’s New York Film Festival. Wonderstruck debuted at Cannes to mostly positive reviews. The NYFF showing is a good indication that will campaigning for an Oscar run. Read more about Wonderstruck here

-Entertainment Weekly wrote about 23 movies that are on the Academy’s radar. 

-Dunkirk will screen in 70mm IMAX in the most theaters in 25 years. 

-inSession Film accounces their top 5 movies of the year so far.
